Regional Sales Manager (Northeastern US)

As a business we are growing across North America, therefore we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team and show off our tools to our current and new customers across Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Main Duties & Tasks

  • Routine sales travel to visit new and existing customers and attend relevant trade shows.
  • Identify and properly qualify new business opportunities using available resources.
  • Provide customer support by responding to customer inquiries and requests.
  • Partner with current customers to ascertain current needs and generate additional sales.
  • Ensure that databases are current and updated with accurate customer information.
  • Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s)/service(s) while on-site. 
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and increase sales from within client base. 
  • Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue, by cold-calling if necessary.
  • Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner. 
  • Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time efficient manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms and other documentation.
  • Make front-line assessment of market conditions and advise company Sales Director of findings.
  • Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities, and other research. 

Skills, Experience and Competencies

Sales, market and management experience

  •       3 years’+ experience in an outside sales position.
  •       Strength in identifying and closing new business prospects.
  •       Ability to maximize the value of existing account relationships.
  •       Experience working trade shows and open houses would be an advantage.

Industry expertise

  •       Knowledge of Industrial / Steel products and channels of distribution would be advantageous.
  •       Experience identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

Education and tools

  •       Minimum High School Diploma.  Business Degree preferred.
  •       Literacy in computer based applications such as Microsoft Office.  
  •       Experience using customer contact systems.

  •       High level of initiative. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  •       Must be able to organize and prioritize with strong project management skills.
  •       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  •       Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  •       Quick, decisive and communicative.
  •       Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding corporate goals as well as strong negotiation and closing techniques.
  •       Self-starter; motivated, team focused and results driven.
  •       Strong technical skills: able to present technical concepts; provide customers with hands-on technique using our products.

Location / Department

  • Role is based remotely, covering Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey.
  • Jobholder is a member of the Sales Department.
  • Jobholder will be required to travel extensively domestically, as the job requires.


  • Jobholder reports daily to Sales Director of Evolution Power Tools, LLC.


Other Key Internal Relationships

  • Daily contact with customer service/sales support, other members of Evolution Power Tools, LLC.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage the distribution network in the given sales territory.
